Renault Megane R.S. on the track

Renault Megane R.S. Trophy – 2011

The Renault Megane R.S. Trophy is a high-performance hatchback that set new standards in the hot hatch segment.

Based on the third-generation Megane, the R.S. Trophy was developed by Renault Sport to deliver an exhilarating driving experience.

Track-Tuned Performance

At the heart of the Megane R.S. Trophy lies a potent turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, unleashing 250 horsepower and 340 Nm of torque. Power is channeled to the front wheels through a meticulously engineered six-speed manual transmission.

However, the true hallmark of the R.S. Trophy lies in its exceptional chassis. Renault Sport engineers meticulously crafted two distinct chassis options: one tailored for everyday driving comfort, and a more aggressive “Cup” chassis designed to conquer the track.

Megane R.S. Trophy – Nürburgring Legend

In 2011, Renault unveiled a limited-edition Megane R.S. Trophy boasting an enhanced 265 horsepower engine. This special edition ascended to legendary status by setting a new lap record for front-wheel-drive cars on the fearsome Nürburgring Nordschleife, completing a lap in an astonishing time of under eight minutes.

Enhanced Features and Technology

The Megane R.S. Trophy boasted a suite of performance-oriented features designed to maximize on-track prowess. This included a limited-slip differential to optimize traction, high-performance Brembo brakes for confident stopping power, and a meticulously tuned suspension system to deliver exceptional handling.

Inside the cockpit, the driver was firmly placed at the center of attention. Supportive sport seats provided excellent lateral support during spirited driving, while a grippy, race-inspired steering wheel ensured precise control.
